South Dublin County Council (SDCC) published the draft City Edge Strategic Urban Regenerating Framework (SURF) on 13th April 2026. The SURF comprises a planning strategy to guide the future planning of the City Edge area in the short to medium term and is being brought forward as a proposed Variation (i.e. amendment) to the SDCC County Development Plan 2022-2028. Submissions /observations on the draft SURF were invited from the public and interested groups and bodies, during the display period 13th April to 12th May 2026. A report was prepared detailing and responding to the submissions /observations made and this report was considered by the Elected Members of SDCC at a Council meeting on 13th July.
